wait for it...

Hello everyone! Tonight, I bring you a card that looks as if I forgot to put a sentiment on it... right? Well, not exactly...
It is underneath the cute little flap that you have to flip up! I just love these little dies from Papertrey Ink!
I had to carefully think about it when I was trying to decide wether to purchase them or not. They looked so cute, but I just wasn't convinced that I would use them... oh yeah, I will!
The pretty papers are from Crafty Secrets, the Creating With Vintage Patterns Cd #1 and Creating With Vintage Patterns Cd #2 along with my favorite sentiment from the Grand Greetings Stamp Set as well as the script at the top of the card from the Artsy Banner Stamp Set (both Crafty Secrets too).
On the front of the flap is some of my favorite lace tidbit (from my local antique store) and an image taken from the Mini Vintage Creative Scraps... don't you just love that floral paper? Needless to say, I will be using this set of dies over and over.
And that is my post for this evening... I must tell you, I have some exciting news to tell you in a week or so... I am pretty happy about them : )

Good night...

follow your heart...

Hello... wanted to stop by and share a quick card using some new My Mind's Eye paper. Let me tell you, I did a lot of hoarding on their new lines... ugh, I tried so hard not to get carried away when purchasing, but I got home with way more than I should have.
I stitched a heart and then added lots of sweet embellishments to bring this card to life. The paper was already pretty on it's own.
I used some more of my favorite heart border along with a banner.
Very simple tonight! Also, I wanted to let you know that I had five of the "Home Is Where The Heart Is" kits left from my class Tuesday. They are up in my Etsy shop if you are interested in one! You can find the pictures and read more about it here.

****Edited to say that the five kits sold out real quickly!!!! I have enough supplies to put together three more and then they are gone!!! I just added them in the shop***

Have a wonderful evening!

sending some love...

Today,  I am sharing some projects using some Crafty Secrets digital download stuff! This is a Valentine Digital Download Kit that you can purchase for only $5 and it is soooo worth it... it is loaded with adorable vintage images, templates and papers. The first project is a cute 3-D envelope... you just print, score and adhere... how easy is that!
This is the front of the envelope... I have stitched it up and added a lace doily, felt heart and added one of my favorite sentiments from the stamp set Love You Mother (also from Crafty Secrets). Everything you see on this envelope, the heart (Valentine Greeting) and the Love Mail Postcard is from this kit.
This is the back of the envelope... it uses another sentiment from the stamp set mentioned above (Love You Mother) as well as a sentiment from Papertrey Ink (Happy Valentine's Day)...

Lastly, I have a card that I made using the same papers but for my Sweetie! It has some more elements from the kit as well as a script stamp from the Artsy Banner Set.
I absolutely LOVE these cute little tags in this kit!
Well, I don't know if you are tired of looking at pictures, but I am tired of uploading photos... so, I hope these projects gets you your inspiration fix for the evening! There is still time to download the kit (just click on the highlighted link above referring to the Valentine Kit) and whip up your Sweetie or Mother a card, envelope or both tonight!

Not sure I will make it back tomorrow so HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to you! (just a little bit early)

heart and home class...

Hello everyone! Today I am popping in with the pictures of the class that I will be teaching at Scrapbook Generation on February 21st. I must tell you, this is my favorite class project to date...
There is soooo much to love about this piece! It measures about 6 1/2 X 12 1/2" and even comes with a cute little hanger to attach to it.
The vintage goodies include... tea stained fabric, felt, rhinestones, old hymnal print, old book print, vintage lace, mini clothespin, buttons, seam binding and lots of machine stitching as well as some hand stitching... both of these will be done for you with the exception of a little hand stitching that you will do in class.
The hanger has a slot for you to insert a label and I chose to use one of my favorite sentiments from Papertrey Ink..."Vintage Style".
Next, I will show you some close ups so you can see just how much detail is in this sweet little wall hanging...
This class is special... why? Because I dug out some of most loved fabrics... and I am sharing them with you! So, to describe in full... the back layer is some shabby fabric, then paper from Graphic 45, then book print paper and then lots of fabric pieces along with several felt pieces. It is a sturdy little wall hanging that I think you will love!

To sign up... head over here and grab their number and give them a call! Again, it is Tuesday, February 21st at 6 pm. The cost is $20 (there is lots of machine stitching and I will be doing the "Love" hand stitching for you) for all the detail and hanger, it is well worth it!

Have a great evening!

the blues...

Wedding blue that is! Hello everyone... hope all is well with you. I thought I would pause and share what I have been doing this week.
A young lady at our church got married here recently and we are giving her a little luncheon and bridal shower tomorrow. So, I whipped up some little favors to hand out. I just love these little jars!!!
I filled them with some Jordan Almonds then added the sweet little "Love" circles on the front of the jars.
I then tied some aqua blue tulle around the jar (this color is quickly becoming one of my favorite), added some flowers, leaves and a ticket to the top. The ticket is stamped with a cute image from Papertrey Ink.
Lastly, I found some damask printed bags and filled them with some Hershey's kisses (for the little kids that will be attending).
I punched out some book print scalloped circles and then added a stamped sentiment... also from Papertrey Ink, added a sweet little rose and some twine for a simple but elegant treat for any guest.
Well, that is it... I had better get back to work. I will be back shortly to share a project using a sweet little Valentine Digital Kit from Crafty Secrets... this kit is sooooo cute! I am also finishing up a project for my class that I will be teaching at Scrapbook Generation later this month.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and the Super Bowl if you are watching!
