Close to my heart...

Just stopping by this morning to share a card made for my sweet, sweet Mother. My Mother is the sweetest person on earth to me and even though we don't get to see each other every day, she is close to my heart every second of the day.
I used lots of Sizzix goodies... the Flower, 3-D Fringed has got to be my most favorite flower die right now. I used a felt layer and several fabric and lace layers... oh my shabby goodness!
The floral tag is from Iralamija's Etsy Shop and the circle image inside of the bottle cap is from Digital Street. But, let's focus on the pretty embossing on the card... I first cut the card from the Card, Ornate #3 Die  and then embossed it with the Thank You Set #5 Embossing Flolders, it is so crisp, clean and very detailed!
I then stamped my sentiment (Crafty Secrets), oh... just in case you decide to make one of these cards, I turned the embossing folder upside down when I embossed my card. Other products used are fabric tape, Prima leaves, Authentique stickers, vintage lace, vintage bottle cap and twine.

Now, it is time for me to run... I am in the mood to go round up some vintage goodies from my local Antique stores.... or at least I hope to score some goodies!!!

Have a blessed day!

Tammy

  3. Hello Tammy
Such a soft and feminine card, it exudes love, and I your die-cut card, it is unique and creates interest, especially as you have highlighted the shape with the embossing. The added elements are soft and tactile; so perfect.

  4. Gorgeous card Tammy - your Mum will love it! I like that flower die and hadn't thought about using it to cut fabric and felt rather than paper! You've got me thinking now. x

Isn't it fun to go "treasure hunting" for vintage finds?
I've found some beautiful laces and doilies at estate auctions. I love using them on my cards!
