Birthday smiles

This past weekend was my baby girl's Birthday...... well she is not a baby anymore, she turned 10, but she will always be "my" baby as she is the youngest. Her little heart was set on going Go-Karting with her friends because this year she was tall enough to ride by herself! Unfortunately, we woke up Saturday morning to more rain...... she was so sad....... it was breaking my heart, so Dad and I discussed it and we were not going to let the rain ruin the Birthday Girl's day.
I mean, just look at that face..... she was so excited to get to go even if was in the rain!
So she buckled up and was ready to go.............

by the end of the ride..... not so excited. She came to me almost crying because she was drenched, dirt thrown in her face from the cars in front of her and a boy ahead of her spit and it came back in her face. The excitement quickly faded away so played a little laser tag then went off to the Dixie Stampede where her heart was broken again. If you have ever been to the Dixie Stampede, you know if it is your Birthday you get to chase the chickens! Well, she didn't and oh my....... sad little tears. Finally, at the end of the day she said "Mom, I had a great Birthday and I love you" that was worth it all.... I just wish I could have controlled the weather and the chicken pickin.
I made a special card for my special little girl. I love the way it turned out.... the colors are cheerful and I got to play with my Copics again! I have not used my Stamping Bella stamps in what seems like forever, so it was fun to bring her out again too.
Have a great evening!

Flowers for you......

on such a rainy day! Well, at least it is in my little town.

It has been raining all week here and I am so ready for some sunshine....... so I thought I would spread a little by making a card that consisted of flowers and a butterfly thrown in. It didn't really spread the sunshine but it made me feel happy inside. Ok, enough rambling.... this card uses another one of Tammy Tutterow's vintage images, I am so thankful for here sharing these wonderful images with us.

My little one turns 10 tomorrow! She has invited some of her little friends over tonight and hopefully the rain will hold off most of the day tomorrow so we can go to Branson and ride rides all day ( I feel tired already : )

Have a great weekend!

Housework......

ok, not the kind of housework I should be doing. My house is sooooo deprived of tender loving care and attention right now. As well as my little blogger world..... for that ..... I am sorry. I needed to do something special for all the sweet little ladies at our church for Mother's day so I decided to drag out my Homemade goodies from Papertrey Ink and whipped up some cute little gift boxes.
Now that I have these little homes all done and delivered (the ladies were all so delighted to receive), I am going to spend the rest of my day with my sweet kiddies and my wonderful Mother!

In between gift boxes I created this card for my Mother. She is my angel and truly my gift from God. I love her so much. I hope each one of you have a blessed day and to all you moms....... Happy Mother's Day!
